Jon’s has been teaching for 20 plus years around North America for different schools and music camps. He is excited to be joining CYMC for the first time to present a brand new Percussion program that has never been seen before!
Week-long Percussion for dedicated young musicians.
Using warm-ups, rudimental technique, and engaging repertoire, percussionists will learn the fundamental skills needed to enjoy performing in situations of all types! Students will gain independence, build confidence, and develop their skills by improving their ability to read music and perform basic structures. Attention will be given to each singer’s individual skill level. Join masterclass instructor Jon for an incredible week of learning, drumming, and fun!
“I enjoyed working in groups“– Anthony
“I loved how just in two weeks, many things were covered and we were exposed to many different styles of music and other forms of art as well. It gave me new ways to approach my technique. Teachers were inspiring – new ideas for approaching my practice.“– Wendy
