Carol Anne Parkinson

Choir Director

May 29 - July 8, 2017

As founding director of the Nova Voce Choral Society, Carol Anne is immensely qualified to lead our Festival  Choir.  Her joy of music brings out the best of these Valley singers who each year eagerly anticipate the opportunity to sing with CYMC’s chamber orchestra.

The Festival Choir invites singers from all of the Valley’s many choirs.   It is a non-auditioned group and places in it fill up quickly. You can register as a quartet of all four voices and save on registration fees.

Our focus piece will be "Movements from the Rutter Magnificat". Singers will need to arrive with music basically learned and ready to put together for the most part.

To prepare for the Rutter Magnificat sections, singers can go here to listen to individual parts for practice.  Go here to download and print out your music.  The movements we will be doing are 1, 4, 5, 6, 7.

Rehearsal times are Mondays and Wednesdays, 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm:

Concert will be sung on Saturday, July 8 at the Sid Williams Theatre as part of our 50th Anniversary Gala

Individual registrations: $100 for 10 rehearsals and Grand Finale Concert.  Early Birds – $85 by May 10, 2017

Group Special:  Sign up as a quartet (soprano, alto, tenor, bass), and pay a group rate of $300.
